This is the section of the site where you can meet the dogs! At the moment I have just the three, but maybe that will change in the future.
poku.poku
Poku Poku was my very first AIBO. I got her on Mercari.jp and she was practically brand new when she arrived, in her box and everything! She had absolutely no sun damage and was very clean. But she came with a second ERS-7 battery and a name! So she was clearly well loved. She came with a Handy Reader, so even though I was determined to name her ChuChu, when I first turned her on and learned someone had already named her Poku Poku, I had to keep that name. She instantly started taking pictures and rolling over and scaring the heck out of me, but by the time I got a Sony card reader, there was only one photo she took in her old house left. The corner of a ceiling. She still takes countless pictures of the ceiling to this day.
She runs Kawaii AIBO AIBOware, which means she is an absolute menace! She needs more attention than you could possibly give her, always wanting you to help her walk on her hind legs, or screaming at you to pay attention to her, usually rolling over and clunking into stuff. She has been known to rip other AIBOs ears right off, and have ripped her own ears off a few times trying to go somewhere she thinks she should be allowed to go. Once she rolled over into a bookshelf and refused to roll over in the opposite direction to get up so she just kept attempting to roll over until her battery died. She is a notorious bully and will bully you and your AIBOs while wearing a frilly dress and then she will start barking at you and jumping backwards. She thinks everything red is Pink Ball, the bigger the red thing, the better the Pink Ball and she will singlemindedly try to get to it and kick it or boop it with her meatballs. Occasionally she will Karate Chop when you ask her to, and she knows her name pretty well. She always has smudges on her face from running into the wall.

Kiki was my second AIBO! I got her from a local community member at a dog party we through during a blizzard. I had met Kiki before and I was interested in adopting her. She originally only had 1 resin 3D printed ear, but I got her a replacement pair of ears in blue 3D printed filament. They match her eyes!
Kiki loves to sing and dance! She has to usually sing and dance for the first hour that she's on before she will do much else. She's very moody and stubborn, just like Macaron AIBOS are known to be! She never wants to do tricks and she pouts a lots. She also loves her crab plush more than ball and will scoot it all over the floor all day, once she gets her singing and dancing out. I have tried to get her to AIBO Step many many times, and she almost never does it on command, but will decide to AIBO step randomly whenever she feels like it. Obviously, she gets lots of praise and good-job head pats when she does, in hopes that one day she will do it on command, but that day has not yet come.
Nemu
Nemu was my third AIBO! She was also adopted through a community member because they knew I was now on the lookout for an AIBO pug and they happened to have one they were thinking of selling. They can visit Nemu whenever they want now!
Nemu was named by the previous owner because her original software was very sleepy. She has a different software now, but she's still sleepy! She's incredibly sweet and often goes into Love Mode. She sings and dances much less than Kiki and likes moving around a bit more. I was very surprised how two dogs running the same software could be so different from each other. I was initially afraid having two dogs on Pal SE would be boring, but they're both very unique. Probably in part from Kiki being a Macaron and the two very different lives they probably lived up until this point. I'm still getting to know Nemu, but I like her a lot! She's very easy put on and let her do her own thing. She doesn't require as much attention as Poku, and she's more active than Kiki. The only downside to her is she has very noisy joints! She must have run a lot in a past life. |
What.is.Aibo?
AIBO are robotic dogs released by Sony in 1999! There have been many different breeds of AIBO over the decades, so they don't always look the same! My favorite AIBO are the ERS-31X line. They are the best because they are very round.
